SFCHEFS 2010 SUNDAY AFTERNOON GRAND TASTING

The City's greatest Square is decked for an urban garden party and a truly unique culinary experience. Meet local chefs from over 25 renowned restaurants as they share tastes, along with 30 winemakers, 10 distillers, and local and international brewers. Chef demonstrations on the Dacor demonstration Stage include: 12:30 Daniel Joley (Annabelles), 2:00 Justin Wangler (Kendall Jackson) , 3:20 Robyn Goldman (Smitten Ice Cream). Local bartenders will present cocktail demonstrations at 1:20 and 2:40. Want to take a break and get off of your feet? Interactive food, wine and cocktail classes are within the Grand Tasting Tent in the Visa Signature Classroom and in the Anolon Classroom.

12:30pm - Class 1 - The Perfect Martini
Located in the Visa Signature Classroom
Presented by Pernod-Ricard and Plymouth Gin
International Ambassador for Plymouth Gin Simon Ford will present the tricks of the trade to produce the ultimate martini. Whether you like your martini up, on the rocks, dry or dirty you will gain insight into this marvelous cocktail.

12:30pm - Class 2 - Rock & Roll Sushi
Located in the Anolon Classroom
Want to be able to enjoy sushi at home any time? Join We Be Sushi’s Andy Tonazuka in an interactive, roll up your sleeves sushi-rolling session feature top grade fish and DIY bites to be proud of.

1:45pm - Class 3 - Napa Valley Rocks
Located in the Visa Signature Classroom
Ever wonder why the wines from Napa valley are so complex and just plain delicious? Join winemakers Jeff Smith of Hourglass and Tom Tiburzi of Domaine Chandon to explore the unique geological formation of the valley, why it is the ideal climate to grow grapes, historical milestones, and the tradition of leadership that continues today. This tasting and presentation will further your understanding of Napa valley and its place within the world of wine.

2:40 - Class 4 - The Art of a Coffee Blend - deconstructing coffee blends
Located in the Anolon Classroom
Presented by Starbucks Coffee
Learn "cupping" technique to improve your understanding of the impacts of flavor, roasting, and body in a great cup of coffee.
