Spice up your life - take a culinary tour de spice: Mourad Lahlou (Aziza), Anjan Mitra (Dosa), Martin Castillo (Limon), Reza Esmaili (Long Bar on Fillmore), Ranjan Dey (New Delhi Restaurant), Laurence Jossel (Nopa), Gerald Hirigoyen (Piperade) and Hoss Zare (Zare at Fly Trap) present various tastes showcasing similar spices in dissimilar, culturally-driven dishes. Cocktails provided by Don Roberto Tequila. Wines provided by Kendall Jackson Wines. Beer provided by Trumer Pils. The private reception at the Westin St. Francis Hotel is for KGO radio contest winners, KGO television contest winners, Westin VIP guests and event sponsors.

Sugar Party: Celebrated Pastry Chefs Feature Desserts with Local Artisan Ice Creams

Keep your sugar buzz going after the Grand Tasting Tent closes as the party moves into the Westin St. Francis Hotel. Pastry chefs Emily Luchetti (Farallon, Waterbar) and Elizabeth Falkner (Orson, Citizen Cake) revitalize carefree afternoons with an SF Chefs churn on ice cream socials. Along with celebrated pastry chefs Luis Villavelazquez (Absinthe), Ethan Howard (Cavallo Point), Larissa Friesen (Ghirardelli), Dominique Crenn (Luce), Catherine Schimenti (Michael Mina), Nick Flores (RN74), Jean Francois Houdre (Westin St. Francis), and Christine Law (Anchor & Hope) and William Werner (with an exciting new project!), they'll feature various local ice cream chefs' creations in their whimsical desserts. Beverage pairings include Starbucks Coffee, Mighty Leaf Tea, Amarula Cream, Dow's Port and Graham's Port.
